This is what has helped me in the GO Challenge:

Limit your daily TO DO list to 6 Most Important Things.

Doing It

Analyze and strategize before doing, because that's what will make your organizing last.

Play beat the clock....set a timer for those little tasks.

If it can be done in less time that it takes to sing happy birthday...Do It,... it only takes 15 secs to sing, opposed to spending 5 or more minutes looking for it.

Don't get discouraged- it takes 21 days to form a new habit and each moment brings a new opportunity to begin again.

Getting started - start with what bugs you the most.

Scheduling Tips

USE ONE CALENDAR.

Set DEADLINES for your projects and mini deadlines for those baby steps.

Give yourself extra time. If you think something is going to take you 15 minutes, plan for 30. If you finish early, that time is yours to relax.

Think about the time of day that you are at your best. How can you best use your energy?

Schedule time for yourself. You are your own best resource. Take the time for renewal.

Planning tips

DETERMINE YOUR GOALS.

Baby steps- break down big tasks into smaller ones.

Take the time to think about and plan your organizing.., what will work best for me.

What is working? What is not?

What do you need?

Work with your current habits, think about what you already do.

FIND A PLACE FOR your stuff. Frequently used items should be close to where you use it.

Everything you have should have a home. If you need to, label where it belongs.

Rethink the item's home, if it's not working for you.

Remember First and Foremost - you are doing this for yourself.

Reading the Board

Use the Outline feature as you surf the board. It can help you see responses to posts. You can find it listed at the top of each folder.

More to come!
